Lakshman Jhula

As per legends, here Lord Rama younger brother Lakshman crossed the river Ganga on a jute rope. Later on a jute rope bridge was built here to honour Lakshman. Till 1889, there was a 284 feet long hanging jute rope bridge which was washed away in floods of October 1924. After that a new bridge was built in 1930.
Trayambakeshwar Temple, Sachha Akhileswar Mahadev Temple, Lakshman Temple and Sri Raghunathji's Temple are the major temples located near Lakshman Jhula.

GANGA ARTI

is another place in Rishikesh which is famous for its 'Maha Aarti', which takes place at this Ghat. This aarti starts with chanting of bhajan, beating drums, bells and diyas offering to the Ganga. The priest hold large fire bowls in their hands, the bells in the temples at the Ghat start ringing and the chants of mantras flowing out in the air. The Ghat is lighted up every evening at the time of Maha Arti.
The devotees take diyas and flowers from the Ghat and floats down the river. Other ceremonies like mundan, Pindha Shraddha, for the ancestors are also done at Triveni Ghat. It is the most revered holy bathing place in Rishikesh where many pilgrims takes bath on the occasions of different festivals like Ganga Dussehera, Ekadashi, Purnima etc.

It is believed that those who take bath at Triveni Ghat, they washes all their sins and purifies their soul and they will attain salvation after death. Daily morning and evening aarti takes place at Triveni Ghat where many people witness their presence. It feels good to sit on the banks of the Ganga and enjoy the cool breeze from the river.

You can hire auto for this place from Haridwar which is 10 km from this place. If you have your own car then there is parking near at Triveni Ghat where you can park your vehicle. Bigger vehicles can,t come here as the road to Triveni Ghat is often busy street.

Jumping Heights

Jumpin Heights follows international standard operating procedures and safety. Minimum requirement for Bungee jumping is 12 years of age and weight between 35 to 110 kgs. Bharat Mandir

Bharat Mandir is an ancient temple of Lord Hrishikesh Narayan located at heart of the Rishikesh city in Uttarakhand. This temple is believed to be very old and most sacred temple in the city. A great Hindu saint Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya reinstalled the idol of presiding deity on Basant Panchmi in the temple in 789 AD.

Now every year on Basant Panchmi, a symbolic reinstallation is followed in the temple. On this occasion Shaligram is taken to nearby Mayakund for holy bath and then a grand procession is organize to take back the idol to the temple. Bharat Temple also finds its name in many Hindu scripts and epics like Mahabharat, Vishnu puran, Shrimadbhagwat, Vaman Puran and Narsingh Puran. Legends believed that if one takes 108 rounds of Lord Shri Hrishikesh on the day of Akshya Tritiya and seek the blessing at Lord's uncovered feet, then all wishes will be fulfilled. It is also equivalent to holy pilgrimage of Badrinath Dham. This ritual become more considerable as only on Akshya Tritiya lord's feet are uncovered.

Rishikund is a holy pond located near Raghunath temple in Rishikesh. This ancient pond is believed to be built by Kubz saint and blessed by Goddess Yamuna by filling the pond with her sacred water. One more interesting thing about this sacred pond is that it always reflects the image of Raghunath Temple, dedicated to Lord Ram and Sita.
